Cloud October 30, 2026 Cloud release notes are typically published weekly and summarize changes since the previous publication. Kobiton uses date-based release versioning, with releases identified by the build date in YYMM.DD format. Version information for individual software components is available in the Component versions section. Host Android devices on Linux Organizations with Private and Local devices can now use Linux device hosts to connect Android devices to Kobiton Portal, providing an alternative to Mac mini hosts for Android device testing. Linux hosts support Ubuntu and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) in Standard mode. Lightning mode has not yet been validated on Linux hosts. iOS devices continue to require Mac mini hosts due to Apple platform requirements. For requirements and installation instructions, see the deviceConnect Linux host setup guides in the Admin Docs. Improved Test Case validation and Scriptless Test Run errors Test Management now identifies Test Cases that cannot be replayed before a Test Run starts. The Run option is disabled for these Test Cases, with guidance on how to record them again. Test Cases that cannot be replayed are also excluded from Test Run and Test Suite selection. API and MCP requests return an error explaining why the Test Case cannot run, and Test Case API responses include the new run_blocked_reason field. Scriptless Test Runs now report specific initialization errors and end unsuccessful attempts sooner, rather than repeatedly retrying and returning the generic Device retry exceeded error. For details, see Test Cases. Improved reliability for Appium automation sessions Session recovery and API error handling An unresponsive session no longer disrupts other automation sessions or prevents new sessions from starting. Appium and REST API requests to sessions that cannot respond now return an error instead of waiting indefinitely. Page source during Android screen transitions Appium automation sessions on Android devices now reliably return page source during screen transitions when apps open or close. Separate text and vision model settings for Appium AI The Appium AI Configuration form now supports separate text and vision model settings. For details, see Configure Appium AI settings for your organization. Improved Turbo Test session reliability Turbo Test now recovers automatically from interrupted connections. Active sessions continue running, while sessions interrupted during startup are retried. When Turbo Test is at capacity, new session requests receive an error explaining that the service is busy. Queued sessions retry automatically when capacity becomes available. For details, see When Turbo Test is at capacity. Improved reliability for Kobiton MCP tools Kobiton MCP tools now handle common operations more reliably, reducing errors that interrupt AI agent workflows. When an operation requires additional action, tools provide clearer error messages to help agents recover or retry. Remove files from devices with Kobiton CLI The new kobiton file rm command removes a file or an empty folder from an Android or iOS device in a CLI session. For details, see file rm. MTBF report loads for large device fleets The Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) report now loads for organizations with large device fleets. Improved TalkBack navigation on Android devices The Screen Reader panel controls, including Next and Previous, now work with both the Default and Enhanced TalkBack keymaps on Android devices. Improved Lightning mode reliability Session recording consistency Session recordings in Lightning mode now save reliably across all sessions on a device host, even during extended operation. Android device compatibility Lightning mode now supports Android devices with video encoders that cannot stream at the device’s native screen resolution, including the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+. On these devices, Lightning mode automatically adjusts the streaming resolution to a supported size. Component versions Portal 2610.28 deviceConnect 2610.30 Gigacap 2610.22
