Simulate a shake gesture on iOS

Simulate a shake gesture on an iOS device during a Kobiton manual session by using AssistiveTouch — an iOS accessibility feature that adds an on-screen menu button for triggering device actions.

Enable AssistiveTouch

  1. On the iOS device, open Settings.

  2. Select Accessibility → Touch → AssistiveTouch.

  3. Turn on AssistiveTouch.

The AssistiveTouch menu button appears on the screen.

The default Kobiton device cleanup policy turns off AssistiveTouch between sessions. Re-enable AssistiveTouch at the start of each manual session.

Simulate the gesture

  1. Tap the AssistiveTouch menu button.

  2. Tap Device.

  3. Tap More.

  4. Tap Shake.

Customize AssistiveTouch for faster access

To trigger Shake without opening the AssistiveTouch menu each time, customize AssistiveTouch in Settings → Accessibility → Touch → AssistiveTouch. You can add Shake to the top-level menu or assign it to a single-tap, double-tap, or long-press action on the menu button.
