Manage preinstalled apps Learn how to manage preinstalled apps on your device so you can skip installation during your test sessions or remove any preinstalled apps you no longer need. Before you start You’ll need to upload your app to your app repository before you can install it on your device. Open the device overview Search for a device, then select the vertical ellipses to open the device overview. Manage preinstalled apps Preinstall an app In the device overview, select Apps. Depending on whether the app has one version or multiple versions in the app repository, will determine which steps to follow: One version Multiple versions Search for the app, then select Install. Search for the app, select the App Name, find the version you want to install, then select Install. Remove a preinstalled app In the device overview, select Apps. Depending on whether the app has one version or multiple versions in the app repository, will determine which steps to follow: One version Multiple versions Search for the app, then select Uninstall. Search for the app, select the App Name, find the version you want to uninstall, then select Uninstall. Remove all preinstalled apps In the device overview, select Apps. Select Uninstall All. Check which version is installed The Apps list shows one row per app. Each row reports whether a version of that app is installed on the device. When a version is installed, the row shows Installed and names that build in the version column. When no version is installed, the row shows Available and names the latest version in your app repository. For an app with multiple versions, select the App Name to see each build. Kobiton marks the installed build Installed and lists the others as Available. If Kobiton cannot match the build on the device to a version in your app repository, no version is marked Installed, even though the app is on the device. This happens when the app repository does not record enough detail to tell the app’s builds apart.
