virtualUSB {Beta}: Support login using API key
We now support using username/API key to sign in to the virtualUSB application for macOS and Windows in addition to supporting username/passcode. If you are one of our virtualUSB Beta testers, download the latest version from the Portal.

virtualUSB for Windows {Beta}
We are pleased to announce that virtualUSB for Windows is now available. If you are one of our virtualUSB Beta testers, download the latest version from the Portal and start experiencing virtualUSB features on a Windows machine. Additional documentation will be posted later this week.
virtualUSB command-line interface (CLI) {Beta}
The core features of virtualUSB are now available as command lines via our new virtualUSB command-line interface. Plus, virtualUSB CLI allows for automation. This tool is included in the latest virtualUSB version for both Windows and macOS. Additional documentation will be posted later this week.
Webhooks for device state
Admins can now set up webhooks to receive automatic updates of device status changes for Private and Local devices, such as when a device goes offline or online.
The webhook settings can be seen by admins of any org, but this feature only supports Private and Local devices. It will not report on Public devices. |
Save custom gestures
Previously, all users could create a custom gesture in a manual session, but there was not a way to save it. Now, you can save custom gestures and use them on future manual sessions. The saved gestures are only visible to the user who creates them.
Improve performance without lightning mode
We have improved the visual responsiveness of manual sessions when the user is not running lightning mode.
Ability to remove unplugged devices from showing up in the Portal
We heard you and understand that some users find it confusing that intentionally unplugged devices that are never being added back show up as offline devices in their Private device list. If you have Private devices and would like your unplugged devices removed, submit a support request.
New Accessibility validations for Content Labeling for iOS
Content Labels are not displayed on a screen. Assistive technologies, like screen readers, read these values aloud to the end user to help them understand elements and navigate an interface. In the previous release, we added content labeling validations for Android native apps. Now, we support those validations for iOS native apps as well. When you run a manual, automation, or Scriptless test, any accessibility validation issues for content labeling will display in the Session Explorer timeline as a yellow dot. Select the dot to view details of the accessibility issues found.

Ability to trigger Scriptless with multiple applications within a test case
We understand that a test case might involve multiple applications, such as when testers need to navigate to the Settings app or open a web browser while using a mobile app. With this release, we support the ability to trigger Scriptless for test cases involving navigation through multiple applications.
