Create a TestRail project

Learn how to create a TestRail project so you can add TestRail to your capabilities. Once added, automation sessions will automatically update your TestRail project and link the results to your session overview.

Create a TestRail API key

Open TestRail and select Profile > My Settings.

Select API keys, then select Add Key.

Create a new project

Select Dashboard, then + Add Project.

Click Add Projects

Enter a project name, select Use a single repository for all cases, and then select Add Project.

Add the project to a test run

Select Dashboard, then choose your project.

Select the project you created

Select Test Runs & Results, then +Add Test Run.

Enter a test run name, then in the Assign To list, select Me.

Add the project to a test case

Select Dashboard, then choose your project.

Select Test Cases, then + Add Test Case.
